Consider the dog
Today's Devotional
I give a dog a bone that’s good for nothing, for this “nothing” he loves me; he fawns on me, he guards me. Jesus has given me his graces, his blood, his merits, all his treasures, and yet I continue insensible. Ungrateful and unnatural soul! Learn your duty from a beast. The dog is your superior and your judge. If his example does not reform your heart, you are more bruitish than the beasts themselves.
